Ongoing comprehension checks are important to determining students' reading skill.
The Reading Check box includes representative questions roughly based on Bloom's taxonomy, or the "Question-Answer Relationship" sequence.
Some questions will require basic recall; others will require some synthesis or evaluation of information.
A formal list of additional Reading Comprehension Questions follows the Reading.
These questions also move from concrete to abstract, from lower- to higher-order thinking.
The final task is to "Revisit the Reading Focus Questions" at the beginning of the reading passage, circling back to the starting point of the reading text.
