Writing follows the Reading section. The writing topic is indicated in the sub-heading beneath the Writing heading.

The writing assignment is broken into easy-to-follow steps, with graphic support.

The topic and genre recycle the topic, vocabulary, and language points of the chapter.

Then they use the reading as a model for their own writing-a simulated "Personal Web Site." Students are encouraged to write for an audience, such as a classmate.

The writing tasks, even at this early level, are engaging and realistic.
