After working with the Letters and Sounds section, students move to the Reading section of the Chapter.

The sub-heading here tells you and the student what the text is about. It might be a poem, a science reading, or a news article.

In this case, the text is a personal web site. Options for working with the reading text are presented in the Milestones Introductory California Teacher's Edition.

The closing activity involves answering questions about the reading, which may be done in pairs, or in small groups.
