The steps in the Writing Workshop are carefully supported by notes in the Milestones Introductory California Teacher's Edition wraparound text.

A Differentiated Instruction box is included, and student checklists-Peer Review Checklist and Revising and Editing Checklist-- give you the support you need to make the process manageable and effective.

Note at the bottom of the page, an activity to Reteach and Reassess is included. Over time, students' confidence grows. They will be encouraged and motivated to continue challenging themselves to produce original oral language, not only in your class but in their other academic work.

They will become increasingly confident about their writing skills and the writing process.
