At the end of Chapter 2 in each Unit, you will find a rich and extensive opportunity for your students to Apply & Extend what they have learned in the Unit and thus far in the program.

In Milestones California Student Edition Book A ,Apply & Extend for Unit 1 begins on page 56.

Apply & Extend can be viewed as a performance or outcomes-based activity. The students can demonstrate what they have learned with concrete assignments where new language skills are applied in new settings.

Note the clear objectives and the reference to the California English-Language Arts Standards.
