Let's now look at one of the Chapters in the Welcome Unit, Chapter F. All of the Chapters A through G follow exactly the same format.
Each Welcome Unit Chapter opens with two-pages which present the Chapter Topic and initial vocabulary in a highly visual manner.
The Objectives listed in this section are a useful advance-organizer for students. They provide a way for students to see exactly what they are expected to learn in the chapter.
The objectives are correlated to the California English-Language Arts Standards.
A complete list of these correlations can be found in the back of the book. .
You will want to put these on the board, as a road map to the Chapter.
