Listen to Audio

This followed by a Writing Workshop.

Here students create a new writing following a process approach.

They build on the writing assignments which they have completed in the chapters.

You can work with your students through the steps that good writers use when creating a new work.

You will want to be sure that your students know that their writing will be shared by an audience.

In this example, they read their descriptive narrative aloud to a small group. In other units, they may share them in other meaningful ways.

Students benefit from the Writing Suggestions boxes.

A student model provides key support.

A Peer Review Checklist and a Revising and Editing Checklist remind students of the key elements they have been learning.
