Independent Reading is key to reading success.

The annotated list includes a variety of genres and a title from the Milestones Reading Library.

Students are empowered to select books of their choice.

Share this list with your school or community librarian, to ensure students have access to the titles.

Encourage students to set reading goals and to read more than one book.

Have them write summaries and reviews of the books they read, and talk about their books with a partner or reading circle.
