The culminating section of the Student Edition is the Apply & Extend.

The workshops in this section have extensive teacher support in the Teacher's Edition, which allows your students to apply all that they have learned in the Unit, and in previous Units, to demonstrate their language skills.

You will review, model, explain, and guide. You will allow ample time for the students to prepare their workshop product.

The Projects also reinforce the learning accomplished in the Unit.

Here the students can choose a project to suit their own needs, styles and interests, and to showcase their creativity.

Over time, students' confidence grows.

They will be encouraged and motivated to continue challenging themselves to produce original oral language products, not only in your class but also in their other academic work.

They will become increasingly confident about their writing skills and the writing process.
