Meet the Authors

Lesley Koustaff

Lesley Koustaff has been teaching (students) and writing ELT materials of all levels for over thirty years. Lesley hopes that by involving students in their learning throughout Impact, they will be interested, engaged and motivated every step of the way. Lesley has conducted educational workshops all over Asia, The United States, Central and South America, and Turkey. She earned her Masters in Teaching from The School for International Training in Vermont.

Susan Rivers

Susan Rivers lived in Taiwan for twenty years and has over 25 years' experience teaching English in Asia and the United States. In addition to owning her own language center, she worked as an EFL young learner language consultant for language centers and primary schools throughout Taiwan. She has conducted numerous teacher training workshops. She is based in Texas.

Dr. JoAnn (Jodi) Crandall

Dr. JoAnn (Jodi) Crandall is Professor Emerita and former Director of the Language, Literacy and Culture Ph.D. Program, and Co-Director of the MA TESOL Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has worked in all areas of ESL/EFL including teaching, curriculum and materials development, standards development, and teacher training.

Dr. Joan Kang Shin

Dr. Joan Kang Shin is an Associate Professor of Education at George Mason University and the Academic Program Coordinator of the Teaching Culturally & Linguistically Diverse & Exceptional Learners (TCLDEL) program. She specializes in teaching ESL/EFL to young learners and teens and has provided professional development programs and workshops to teachers in over 100 countries around the world.
