As the final activity of each Unit, students complete the Milestones to Achievement.

You have been informally and formally assessing as students worked through the Unit.

This end-of-unit assessment tool allows them, and you, to evaluate where they stand in mastery of the Unit’s content, prior to administering the formal summative Unit exam found in the Milestones Introductory Assessment Book, on the Milestones Introductory Texas Teacher’s Resource CD-ROM, or in the Texas MilestonesTracker Online Assessment and Remediation System.

Milestones to Achievement simulates formal standardized assessment and is a measure of students’ ability to produce the kind of tasks they will encounter in standardized tests.

Use the Texas MilestonesTracker Online Assessment and Remediation System, the Milestones Introductory Assessment Book, or ExamView® software on the Texas Teacher’s Resource CD-ROM to generate end-of-unit summative assessment.

The complete correlation of the assessment items to the Texas English Language Proficiency Standards is located both on the ExamView test instruments and in the Texas Milestones Tracker Online Assessment and Remediation System.
