Let's examine Unit 3 of the Milestones Introductory Texas Student Edition.

Each Chapter opens with an Objectives list on the left-hand side of the page.

These are each correlated to the Texas English-Language Proficiency Standards. Objectiveson the board as an organizer and road map to learning.

After the Objectives, new Vocabulary is introduced pictorially, orally, and in written form.

Students have ample opportunity to practice hearing and saying the new vocabulary, working from controlled to open-ended activities.
