At the end of Chapter 2 in each Unit, you will find a rich and extensive opportunity for your students to Apply & Extend what they have learned in the Unit and thus far in the program.

In Milestones Florida Student Edition Book A, Apply & Extend for Unit 1 begins on page 56.

Apply & Extend can be viewed as performance or outcomes-based activities. The students can demonstrate what they have learned with concrete assignments where new language skills are applied in new settings.

Note the clear objectives and the reference to the Reading and Language Arts Sunshine State Standards and English Language Proficiency Standards.
