Let's now look at one of the Chapters in the Welcome Unit, Chapter F.

All of the Chapters A through G follow exactly the same format.

Each Welcome Unit Chapter opens with two-pages which present the Chapter Topic and initial vocabulary in a highly visual manner.

The Objectives listed in this section are a useful advance-organizer for students. They provide a way for students to see exactly what they are expected to learn in the chapter.

The objectives are correlated to the Reading and Language Arts Sunshine State Standards and English Language Proficiency Standards.

A complete list of these correlations can be found in the back of the book. You will want to put these on the board, as a road map to the Chapter.
