You will use the Placement Test, found in the Assessment Book and on the Teacher's Resource CD-ROM, to determine the appropriate starting point for your students: Milestones Introductory, Book A, Book B, or Book C.

Milestones Introductory contains a Welcome Unit (Chapters A-G), and the main core of the book, Units 1-7.

The Welcome Unit provides a unique opportunity for teachers to focus on the needs of newcomer students or struggling readers needing work with basic literacy skills.

Units 1-7 follow the Welcome Unit. This is the core of the Student Edition.

This portion of the program takes students from newcomer level and prepares them for Milestones Book A.
