Common Core State Standards (CCSS)

Common Core State Standards and National Geographic Learning

The CCSS is a joint project of the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) to develop common K–12 reading and math standards designed to prepare students for college and their careers.

With its mission of inspiring people to care about the planet and bringing the world into the classroom, National Geographic Learning has designed exemplary programs that specifically address the increased rigor of the Common Core State Standards. National Geographic Learning programs allow educators to staircase literacy learning so that students can easily meet college and career-readiness goals.
