About The Product

Professional English is a five-volume integrated skills English for Specific Purposes series designed for intermediate-level pre-work and working students. English for the Humanities is an integrated skills book designed to provide 40 hours of teaching and practice material for university students specializing in a Liberal Arts program or studying for a degree in the Social Sciences.

  • An integrated four-skills approach breaks with the traditional practice of reading/vocabulary ESP instruction.
  • Two-page lessons provide a variety of work situations that will interest and motivate students specializing in any field within the Humanities.
  • A grammar reference allows for review and self-study of the essential grammar required at the intermediate level.
  • The activities and exercises will provide the student with practice in the language skills that his / her specialty demands.
  • A comprehensive Teacher's Resource Book provides teachers with photocopiable test materials, step-by-step teaching notes, answer keys, and photocopiable activities to extend reading, writing, communication, and grammar skills.
