Staci Johnson has taught all levels of adult ESL, including credit, noncredit, and workplace English. She holds an MA in Linguistics with a Teaching ESL Certificate, which is supported by more than 10 years in the English language classroom. She is an author for Stand Out, and a series editor for Grammar Explorer, which are both published by National Geographic Learning.

Joan Kang Shin

Dr. Joan Kang Shin is an author and series editor of our preprimary series, Welcome to Our World. She is also the series editor of our primary programs Our World and Explore Our World. Dr. Shin is the Director of TESOL Professional Training Programs in the Education Department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and specializes in the training and professional development of teachers of English to young learners. In her role she is responsible for administering professional development and teacher training programs that reach teachers in over 100 countries around the world.

Morayma J. Gomez

Morayma J. Gómez currently works in the Academic Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua Language Center, in Chihuahua, Mexico. Prior to that, she was an English language professor for 20 years at the university. Ms. Gomez is an English Language graduate from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua and holds a Master of Science in the area of Psychology, specializing in "Goals Achievement." She has been certified by the Norwich Institute for Language Education in "Principles and Best Practice in CLIL." The Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua currently uses National Geographic Learning's World English, World Link, and Great Writing series.

Aziz Abu Sarah

Aziz Abu Sarah is the Executive Director at the Center for World Religions, Diplomacy, and Conflict Resolution. He won the Intercultural Innovation award from the UN Alliance of Civilizations and was also named a National Geographic Explorer in 2011 and a TED Fellow in 2014. In 2009, he co-founded Middle East Justice and Development Initiative (MEJDI Tours) to use as a bridge between conflict resolution and business.

Dennis Hogan

Dennis Hogan is General Manager and Senior Vice President of National Geographic Learning, a publisher committed to inspiring English language learners to be successful and responsible citizens of the 21st century. Dennis's career includes various publishing and executive positions at Prentice Hall, Perspective Press (a business he founded) and Thomson Learning (now Cengage Learning). In his tenure at Thomson and Cengage, Dennis initiated and developed the National Geographic partnership and led the transformation of the Heinle language learning business into today's National Geographic Learning. In his role, Dennis has also forged major partnerships with TED and ETS.
